Art is a renewal whether we experience it or create it.  By experiencing beauty
we learn to achieve beauty.  The visual arts are food for my soul.  I enjoy
creating works that tell a story whether idealistic, symbolic or every day life
situations.  Drama is another important factor of my work.  My goal is for the
viewer to relate to my images as he/she would to their own life.  I am inspired
by many artists and especially by Rene’ Magritte and my mentor, Shane
McDonald.  Both are disciplined artists that draw from their imagination to
create interesting compositions.  Magritte is a master of illusion.  McDonald is
a master of color.  I am a colorist that likes to portray a strong sense of light in
my work.  I try to push myself to exceed my own expectations when working on
a painting or drawing.  I find the process drives me more so than the finished
product.  I become mesmerized by the images unfolding as I work that time
seems to stand still.  It is a labor of love.  Creating beauty brings forth a content
heart and satisfied soul.
